About Resort Advisors

Resort Advisors focuses solely on helping independent timeshare resorts improve their operations and guest experience, primarily through cost control and operational efficiencies.

We can also provide recommendations to other providers (e.g. collections, rental programs, management contracts, financing, etc.) based on our extensive industry relationships.

We are not angling for a management contract, buying up delinquent inventory, offering a rental program, or selling software. We do not buy or sell timeshare interests, and we don’t do maintenance fee collections. We’re dedicated to helping your resort run better. Period.

John Whitby founded Resort Advisors in 2024 after over 20 years of experience as an award-winning timeshare resort operator, HOA manager, and entrepreneur in the industry.

He has operated resorts and managed timeshare and condominium HOAs for Wyndham Destinations and other companies in Washington State, Olympic Valley, CA; Bend, OR; and Deer Valley, UT. He also operated his own resort and HOA services company in Telluride, CO.

Previously, he was a Partner with Deloitte Consulting in New York City and a senior executive with General Electric. John received his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) with a focus on Finance and Real Estate.

John, his wife Lene (and their dogs), reside in Ocean Park, Washington.
